Dates Of Yatra, Itinerary and Cost
The 19th KAILAS-MANASAROVAR YATRA, under the guidance of Swami Sandeepananda Giri, from 8 to 20 AUGUST 2019.
The Kailas - Mansarovar Yatra will be by HELICOPTER and FLIGHT to and from Kathmandu.
COST per head - Rs 1. 85 Lakhs, including above mentioned flight charges, visa and permits, accommodation, vegetarian meals, transfers and transport. (For full list of inclusions and exclusions, please scroll down)

Passport valid for atleast 6 months from date of travel
Medical certificate from your doctor stating that you are fit to travel at high altitudes
Age between 18 and 70 years
For INDIAN PASSPORT HOLDERS LIVING IN INDIA
Original passports must be submitted to School of Bhagavad Gita office at least 1 month before date of travel.
For NRIs , INDIAN PASSPORT HOLDERS LIVING OUTSIDE INDIA
Indian passport holders living outside India may arrive in NEW DELHI before 10 days from date of travel.They will have to submit their passports in the original. Our representative will collect the passports and submit it to the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi for the visa. After submission, they may proceed to Kathmandu for the Retreat. They will have to carry a valid photo identity to enter Nepal.
FOREIGN PASSPORT HOLDERS
Foreign passport holders are to arrive in KATHMANDU, Nepal, before 5 days from date of travel.( Or earlier, if they wish to take part in the Retreat) They will have to submit their passports in the original. Our representative will collect the passports and submit it to the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu for the visa. Extra Visa charges of $125 for USA/CANADA citizens and $ 85 for other foreign nationals,or as currently charged by the Chinese Embassy will have to be paid.
Please note that a normal Chinese visa is not applicable for travel to Kailas- Manasarovar, which is in Tibet.

FOR THOSE ARRIVING IN KATHMANDU EARLY , JOIN RETREAT UNTIL AUGUST 7. OTHERS ARRIVE ON DAY 1 OF YATRA
Day 01: Fly to Kathmandu (1300m). Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport.Transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu- Nepalganj
Darshan Of Pashupatinath Temple & Bodhnath Stupa in the morning. Later in the afternoon, fly to Nepalgunj (1hr).Overnight stay at a hotel in Nepalgunj.
Day 03: From Nepalganj flight to Simikot (2950m/55mins)To Hilsa by Helicopter (3700m).
We will try for an early morning flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, which will take nearly 60 minutes of flight time. Complete the border immigration formalities in Simikot and proceed to Hilsa by helicopter (approximately 20 minutes).After landing at Hilsa, cross the Karnali River through a suspension bridge and continue to Sher village. From Sher, to reach Purang (3700m). Overnight stay in Purang Himalaya Hotel or similar.
Day 04: Stay at Purang for acclimatization (3900m).
The entire day is spent in Purang for acclimatization for your body to adapt to the high altitude. Overnight stay in Purang Himalaya Hotel or similar.
Day 05: Drive to Manasarovar (4560m) with the Parikarma of the Lake (72km/3hrs).
After an early morning breakfast, drive to Lake Manasarovar (4560m), when you will be rewarded by the serene sight of the lake. Complete the parikarma of the lake, while enjoying the natural beauty around you. Overnight at ashram in Mansarovar.
Day 06: Morning Havanam/pooja at Lake Manasarovar. Drive to Darchen (4620m). (40km/1 ½ hrs.)
After a holy dip at Manasarovar, we will have a simple havan and meditation on the shores of Lake Manasarovar. Later, in the evening drive to Darchen (4664m), the base for Kailas parikrama. Overnight stay at Kailash Himalaya Hotel or similar accommodation.
Day 07: First day of parikrama. Drive to starting point, Yamadwar. Trek to Dirapuk. (4860m/7-8 hrs.)
Drive to the starting point of the trek, Yamadwar, the auspicious gateway to the parikarma around Mt. Kailash. Then, trek to Dirapuk (4920m). Along the walk, see the splendid scenes of Kailash, facing west. Overnight at Dirapuk.
Day 08: Second day of parikrama. Trek to Zhuthulpuk. (4760m/9-10hrs.)
Trek to Zhuthulpuk (4780m) via Dolma la Pass (5600m). Although this day of the parikrama is tougher than the first day, you will be rewarded by the sight of the enchanting glacial lake also known as Gauri Kund. Hindus believe that Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva used to take bath in this particular holy lake. Overnight in Zhuthulpuk Guest House
Day 09: Third and final day of parikrama. Proceed to Hilsa and time permitting airlift to Simikot.
In the morning, begin trekking to complete the Kailash parikrama. The walk on this day is easier through terrain that does not have ups and down. Proceed to Hilsa. If time permits, airlift to Simikot. Overnight in Hilsa Lodge / Sun Valley Resort Or Similar
Day 10: Fly to Nepalgunj and to Kathmandu.
Today, you will fly to Nepalgunj via Simikot and then take another flight to Kathmandu.Overnight in Hotel Royal Singhi Or Similar
Day 11: Departure from Kathmandu.
The day is free until your transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Catch a flight for final departure back home with the experience and memories of a spiritual journey of a lifetime.

PARTICIPANTS PLEASE NOTE: NRIs with Indian passport, please arrive in New Delhi, 10 days before yatra and submit your original passports. If you do not wish to stay in Delhi,you can proceed to Kathmandu with your Voter id, and you can attend the Yoga and meditation retreat. Or you can go to your home town or elsewhere in India and join on the day of the flight from Delhi to Kathmandu.
FOREIGN NATIONALS, please arrive in Kathmandu 4 working days before yatra begins and submit your passports for visa and permit.
