Itinerary & Costs For BHUTAN YATRA


Day 1 – Reach DELHI in time to take flight to PARO in Bhutan. Arrive Paro by Air and Transfer to Thimpu.On arrival at Paro ,(2200Mts), tarvel by road to Thimphu, the capital town of Bhutan, stopping on the way to see Chuzom, the confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers. Marked by 3 different styles of stupas ; Tibetan, Nepalese and Bhutanese.On arrival, in Thimphu check-into the hotel. Spend the evening exploring Thimphu’s main street and market area. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 THIMPHU- - In the morning, visit Arts and crafts centers, where various Bhutanese arts are taught, national library and Simply Bhutan museum. Also experience Archery at the Museum Itself. Later visit Buddha viewpoint, Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the valley, Takin Preserve. To see Takin, the national animal of Bhutan and Zilukha Nunnery. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.


Day 3 – PUNAKHA- Today's drive passes through Dochula pass (3100mts), the most important and  beautiful pass in Bhutan. Enjoy spectacular views of the highest mountains of Bhutan as you continue our drive to Punakha valley. After checking into the hotel, in the afternoon, you will be taken to the famous temple Punakha Dzong, where you can get to see the finest examples of the arts and crafts of Bhutan. Later , go to  Chimi Lhakhang,( also known as the temple of fertility) which is a short drive and then a walk through paddy fields and villages, giving you a glimpse into the rural life style of the villagers. Overnight at the hotel in Punakha.


DAY 4 _ PARO -After breakfast drive back to Paro , through the beautiful Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys. En route visit Simtokha Dzong, the place for tantric teaching,and study center of the Dzongkha language. After checking into hotel, proceed to visit Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum with its large collection of textiles, antique thangkha paintings, and other artefacts. Then visit the historic Rinpung Dzong, meaning ("fortress of the heap of jewels"), which has wooden galleries with fine wall paintings illustrating Buddhist legends ,scenes from the life of Milarepa, Mount. Sumeru and other cosmic Mandala. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

 DAY 5  PARO – TIGER”S NEST- Today, after breakfast, we will take the excursion to the most famous of Bhutan's monasteries, Taktshang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor.  Afternoon drive to Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress where Bhutanese warriors fought Tibetan invaders centuries ago. View the snow-capped sacred Chomolhari, Bhutan’s holiest mountain. .On the way, visit the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo, marking the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan. Evening an exploratory walk around Main Street and market area. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

 DAY 6 -Depart Paro After early breakfast at the hotel, drive to the airport for flight to DELHI.

COST – Rs.58,500/- per head

Cost Includes : To and Fro Airfare- Delhi – Paro, accommodation from Day 1 until check out on Day 6, in good hotels on twin sharing basis, Transfers and Sightseeing in comfortable vehicles, English Speaking Guide, Travel Insurance for participants below 60 years.

Meals – Dinner on day 1, Breakfast and dinner from Day 2 to 5, Breakfast on Day 6.
